Hello Akelas,

Just a reminder… We WILL have a Den meeting this week on Thursday the 14th. Mr. Herrera is going to be doing a CPR demonstration for the boys and we will be judging the bridges. We look forward to seeing you all there. The CPR demonstration should be great for the boys and will help them with a CPR/First Aid badge in the coming months.

We will be giving everyone one more chance to participate in the Popsicle Stick Bridge Contest next week. This week we had no organized activity during the den meeting as we only had two boys bring in bridges to judge. So…we will be extending the due date one more week so that we can have all the boys participate. Please call me if you have any questions about the rules and we hope to have full participation next Thursday! Please remember, Scouts is an interactive experience with Parents and Scouts working together toward a common goal and could be a time these boys will remember the rest of their lives. Please help me make this time fun and impactful.

After a few weeks off for Teacher Planning and Spring Break, I hope everyone is rested and ready to finish off this Wolf Year with some fun activities. Everyone should be done with their Popsicle Stick bridges by now and we will be using tomorrow’s den meeting to try them out. Prizes are for which holds the most weight, which is best decorated, and which is most creative design!!! Just a reminder, bridges can only be 3 sticks long, and only use sticks and glue! Other than that, it’s up to you and your scout! I know some families have missed some meetings recently, but it’s always a good time to start back up…we want you and your son to share our fun times!!! With many camping activities coming up, and only two months left before summer, we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible! Just a quick reminder that there will be no Den meeting for the next two Thursdays due to school events and Spring Break. We hope you all have a safe and fun filled Spring Break, and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday, April 7th for our next meeting.

The boys have worked very hard during their meeting to meet as many of the requirements for the Wolf Badge as possible. It is our hope that we can present all of our scouts with their Wolf Badge at the Blue and Gold Banquet. I MUST have a confirmation of all requirements met by the beginning of next week. I will get them entered and the badges will be purchased. If I don not hear from you then we have to assume that the requirements have not been met. They will still be able to get their badge at a later Pack meeting, but as a Den we will be moving on to Bear Achievements and Arrow Points. Thanks for your quick response, and we look forward to seeing all of our Scouts move forward in the coming weeks.

I know that many of you have completed these items. I just need an email confirmation so I can add it to the Scout Track system.

It looks like the majority of the boys will not be able to make the Tuesday Den meeting, so we will cancel for this week and reconvene next Thursday, Feb 17th at Wards Creek.

NOTE: I have chosen our Wolf Den Skit for the Blue and Gold Banquet on March 5. Please read over it with your scout so that he will be familiar with it. I will need the boys to wear costumes…so if you have one of these already, please let me know so I can assign the roles at the next meeting.
